Visit the “Blue Island”, one of the most chic destinations on the planet, where famous attractions include the Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni Rocks, Augustus Gardens and Villa San Michele, former home of Axel Munthe, in Anacapri. Don’t miss the charming lanes where the most fashionable and elegant boutiques are to be found.
This small and enchanting island can be explored on foot, for those who enjoy walking, or by one of the many convertible, white, '50s taxis that are a feature of Capri. You can also take the funicular, in operation since 1880, from the marina to the centre in a few minutes and pull up a chair in the famous Piazzetta, a square packed with cafes and buzzing conversation.
The island can be reached by private charter boat, hydrofoil, speedboat or traditional public ferry, which connects Amalfi and the coast to the island and runs regular crossings.
Visit this enchanting island by taking advantage of our "Divine Amalfi Coast" programme, which includes a full day’s trip to Capri with private boat and lunch in a typical trattoria.
You can also rent a private boat with a captain and visit the island in total freedom — contact our Concierge for bookings. | | |
