The small and enchanting island can be visited both on foot for those who enjoy walking, or with the many convertible '50's taxis recalling the Funicular from 1880, which inspired the famous song 'Funiculi Funicula' (by Turco and Denza). The success of the song spread around the world attracting to the area a great number of tourists. The island can be reached by private charter boats with skipper, Hydrofoil, speedboats and traditional public ferries, which connect Amalfi and the Coast to the island, with regular departures.

Arola/Vico Equense
Private visit to the Dairy of Luigi Parlato with an extraordinary guide (Rita Abbagnale -Representative of the 'Slow Food' Association of the Sorrentine Peninsula) for the tasting of one of the most renowned local speciality to preserve by SF: the 'Provolone del Monaco' cheese. 'An almost extinct breed of cow which give the most extraordinary milk, a unique provolone, made by few on the Monte Lattari…a 'moving' milky flower'
The need to protect this breed and its cheese was the aim of the SF Association. It began with the breed: Agerolese a local breed which risked-and still does-extinction. Organolectic tests and oral evidence prove that the cheese made with this milk has marked sensorial characteristics, even though up to now it has always been mixed with that of the Frisone or Bruno-Alpino breed.
Gragnano Private visit by the above-mentioned Rita Abbagnale,to the ancient pasta makers 'Afeltra' with a tasting in the 'Maccaroneria' area of pasta made according to ancient process (low temperature and slow drying).
Amalfi Renowned and historical Pastry shop Pansa, where from 1830 when master Andrea Pansa transformed a depot located below his home, into a place of 'dreams' and sweets spreading an infinity of aromas in the quarters' medieval allleyways. Crunchy and soft 'torroni', chocolates, candied peel covered in lemon-flavoured chocolate, are just a 'taste' of the infinite and delicious artisanal production not to be missed.
Minori Sal De Riso, so called 'King of the Babà' is also the pastry chef to the 'VIP's' for his ever more popular mondaine and televised appointments. Permanent guest on a popular national cookery show. He offers a wide choice of sweet delicacies revisited from ancient local tradition.
